R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a journey of faith for those who wish to become members of the Roman Catholic Church.
Roman Catholics who desire to deepen their faith through study and update are invited to join as sponsors or to refresh/renew their knowledge of the Faith. Individuals who wish to return to the practice of the Faith are also welcome to join this process. Those who wish to be baptized, confirmed and receive the Eucharist are called Catechumens. Those who have been baptized but have not received the Eucharist or been confirmed are called Candidates.
Roman Catholics, age 18 and older who have not completed the process of preparation for the sacrament of the Eucharist or Confirmation are also invited to join the RCIA. The RCIA meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. These sessions begin in September and end in May or June, with the Full Initiation of Catechumens at the Easter Vigil and Adult Confirmation on Pentecost Sunday.

R.C.I.C. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children)
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Children is a journey of faith for children and teens from the age of 7 to 15, who (with the support of their parents/guardians), wish to join the Church. It is also important that parents/guardians also believe in and value the strength and importance of a life lived in faith. To this end, parents/guardians are expected to be active participants in their Roman Catholic Faith. Their example is valuable and necessary in this process.
The RCIC process is a two year program, with mandatory sessions for parents/guardians also required.
The RCIC runs from September through May or June. For more information, please contact Sister Regina Marie at 846.3369, extension #230.
